


The breed was introduced into the UK in 1974. The breed continued to grow in popularity and to ensure that the breed could be developed and progress properly a group of prestigious names from the dog world came together and on April 17th 1976 the founding members of the Bichon Frisé Club held their first meeting. At this meeting officers of the newly formed club were elected.

The club was recognised by the Kennel Club in July 1977
